I am thankful for my mom and dad for buying me a bike as a girl and allowing me the freedom to practically *live* on it! They didn't hover or worry endlessly and even bought me a fantastic rode bike when I turned 19 which I rode into the ground. While my mother is not athletic (her parents did not allow her to participate in sports due to their religious beliefs), she always encouraged me to be more active than she was and I appreciate that to this day.

You may not live any longer, but the journey will certainly be more pleasant.
