People I see – 6/22/2011
This is Jim. Normally, he’s a bike commuter. If you’re a regular reader, you might remember him being mentioned here and here and here.
Yesterday, however, it appears that he was a foot commuter. As in running to work. The man’s an animal. Compared to him, our running is nothing but child’s play.
It had been a while since our paths had crossed except in cyber-land. It was good to see you yesterday morning, Jim.
God bless…

I certainly hope that’s a water bottle he’s carrying and not a barbell weight!

One of the best things about the leaving the car behind is all the good people you meet on the road. It’s always good to see you too! I am working back toward running more days than riding until the fall. It is a water bottle, Steve. Sometimes I carry two of them and they quickly feel like barbells but it makes me remember to drink regularly.

JIm;
I know that road, and I know that based on the shadows, etc., that you’re running northbound towards the tower? Just curious, why dont you wear a camelback for your hydration needs? Isnt it good to be known in your community

Yep, running to work. I have a camelback that I wear if I will be out for more than 3 hours without a refill point. I prefer bottles though as I forget to drink out of the camelback and end up dehydrated. The weight of the bottles never let you forget to drink. Also, when you get really tired and then trip and fall, the bottles help you cushion the fall!
