Gas Guzzlers

hummer

I hate these things.  To me, they’re just the epitome of wastefulness in addition to being butt-ugly.

Unfortunately, we’re the poorest people living in a fairly affluent area, so sometimes it seems like all I see are high end SUV’s.

Those things are not for me.  Just sayin’.

Now, I’ll get off my soap box.

God bless…

While I don’t hate the things, as noted in the website link, black ones can seem a bit creepy, in the dark, as they just sit there, perhaps waiting for prey…

Not to mention more dangerous. Those oversized SUVs are a threat to everyone else on the road.

You could beat it in a 50 yd. dash.

Once when I was riding in Michigan, an SUV pulled up beside me at traffic lights. The driver lowered his window and shouted “Hey man, how many gas-miles d’yuh get outa that thing”. I said “Oh, about 3000 to the gallon”. “Hey, why don’t we do a swap?”. Before I could seal the deal, the lights had changed and he had gone…………….;0(

I agree, SUV’s are simply not sustainable for this planet. They do look big, heavy, cumbersome and I fully expect to see most of them parked by the side of the road as gas prices blow-out.

The military version is simply awesome. And that is where it belongs – in the military.
