Time for Sunglasses

morning sunshine

One good thing about coming back from vacation is that I’ve been pleasantly surprised this week about how much more daylight there is.  The weather was pretty cruddy the entire week before we left so it’s been two weeks since I rode on a pretty day.  The shot above was taken Monday morning just a few blocks from the office.

Evening sunshine

This shot was taken on my way home that day.  It didn’t seem much darker than that by the time I pulled into the drive about 5:50, so I think it’s time to start carrying my shades!

Phil caught up with me as I crossed the campus on my way home.  He’s got his sunglasses on!  We rode together until I had to split off at Battlefield to cross the highway and head for the house.  He nearly killed me….he’s a pretty good racer, and riding his road bike compared to my Surly.  I managed to keep pace with him, but he may have been sandbagging for my benefit!

God bless…

Please don’t talk about sunglasses just yet. That means I have to put all the winter stuff away and THAT ain’t gonna happen until Easter.
