Counting Beans
I’m not very good a record-keeping, but as far as I can tell, it was mid-February when I last had to get to work by any means other than bicycle. I was extremely lucky that during late winter and spring we didn’t have any bad thunderstorms during my morning commute time. That is usually what will cause me to pull the plug and ride with Pam. For me, that’s a pretty long streak, and I hesitate to even mention it. I know there are folks out there that have ridden every day for years, so my little car-free streak isn’t that impressive. Also, I’m a little worried that now I’ve mentioned it, I might have somehow jinxed myself!
God bless…

I’ll pray to counteract your jinx… Can’t hurt and I need the practice anyway.

I think that’d make you the “Prince Fielder” of bicycle commuters. See the link at http://baltimoresportsreport.com/prince-fielder-is-on-pace-to-break-cal-ripkens-consecutive-games-streak-in-2027-28665.html
My own streak started a year before yours, which would make me more or less a Miguel Tejada of bike commuters. Jon Grinder is, IMO, the Cal Ripkin, with his streak ending after 828 days on June 5, 2011. I think I do not have enough work days left to catch him even if I never drive to work again.
