Man, we picked a great day to start running again after nearly a two week hiatus. Oh, I forgot. You probably can’t read the sarcasm in that last statement. Just know it was there.
We had something of a rain at 4:00 am this morning, but it wasn’t enought to do anything but make it really humid and sticky when we went out the door about 5:20. It took my legs nearly a mile to start feeling like they knew what they were doing, but after that I was fine. Pam, on the other hand, has been fighting a sinus problem for several days now and felt like crap the entire time. She even cut off the final 1/2 mile or so because of the heavy atmosphere, and she never does that.
As I left for work, I got my hopes up when a few sprinkles started to fall, but they were soon dashed. At least when I was riding I was able to generate a little breeze, so it felt a little more pleasant. As I pedaled toward work, I amused myself by think that before winter was over I would be looking forward to these types of days again. I guess I’m just hard to please!
