10,000
In the scheme of things, it’s not a big deal. I know there are lots of bikes out there with more miles on them than mine. Last Friday, however, just as I pulled into the driveway after work, my Surly Cross Check turned over 10,000 miles.
That makes it the third bike in as many years that I’ve seen that number on.
Now I need to get to work on the next 10,000 miles.
God bless…

Mine won’t reach that until I find new batteries. You SHOULD feel good about such a milestone. That bike is now truly broken in.

All I need is a cycle computer to record my mileage, it’s all guess work for me. I’ve had a couple of cheap versions, but they broke down etc., started recording things like 56 mph ??? Oh, if that could be true!
