Lunch plans
Most days I have lunch with Pam. She works just two blocks north of me, so I would be a fool not to enjoy her company. Recently, though, she’s had a weekly meeting over lunch. Rather than sit around, I’ve taken advantage of those days to work in a lunch ride. I’ve got a couple of standard 10 mile routes I’ve ridden off and on for a couple of years, but just recently I discovered my new “favorite lunchtime ride”. It’s reflected in the map above.
At 12.3 miles, it’s just a little long for a lunch ride so you’ve got to get at it (ignore the average speed above…RunKeeper doesn’t account for stop lights), but it’s worth it. See that little loop at the top? It’s all country, and worth the effort to get to. Take a look at the pictures I snapped today:
See? It’s good enough to take the edge off your day!
God bless…

A very nice situation, indeed. I work 35 miles from my wife and you could cycle for 30 miles without getting rural views like the ones you enjoy. Be sure to count your blessings!

Riding at lunch time is a blessing. However, I only have 30 minutes allowed for that break so my routes stay well withing the city limits. Maybe some day I can take an extended lunch break and join you.
