Lunch Ride
My lunch date was otherwise occupied yesterday, so I took advantage of the nicer weather to sneak in a 10 mile lunch ride. I have three basic routes I ride from the office and two of the three can be completed in less than 40 minutes, leaving me time to shower and get back to my desk in exactly an hour. Yesterday was my “go to” option because it sort of gets me out into the country and has some reasonably challenging hills.
I can tell I’ve not been doing a lot of riding lately other than my commutes. This little ride seemed more challenging than it should have, but to some extent that may have been the breeze. I ended up finishing with a respectable average speed for the Surly, so I guess I’m not as bad off as I felt.

God bless…

Even getting out for just 10 miles is worth it. Yesterday, I only managed 7 miles, driven indoors by the freezing temperatures and icy conditions. But…..it was still worth it.

Yesterday, I commuted my 40 mile roundtrip, after a whole week of very litle cycling activity, and felt really strong, despite the heavy rain it was great to be out there again. Still a slow coach mind! Cheers.
