There are times when I can come very close to over-extending myself. This has been a pretty high mileage month without really trying. I know I’m eventually going to need a rest day, but since we were out on the KATY last weekend, it didn’t happen like it usually does on Sundays. As this week progresses, I’m noticing a little weariness in my legs.
So what do you think I did at lunch today? Yep…I went for a ride. But I was careful to not go charging around like a maniac. After all, it was a little windy out there, and I could have really cooked my legs. Instead, I focused on a high cadence and light spinning. I’m pretty sure I made it back after 10 miles without doing any major damage. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue restraining myself the rest of the week!
