Back to business
Back to the business at hand. Normal life. Normal routine.
But first, get fresh batteries.
Actually, that’s not a bad segue to this morning. After a week with nothing but a lot of walking, my batteries were recharged and it felt really good to lift weights and ride to work this morning. I guess that’s what vacations are for!
God bless…

I see you have the spokelits there. Do you like them? Do they last?

I’ve been pleased with them. I believe they’re less than $10 each to purchase (hope I’m remembering that correctly), so they’re not a great loss if they shoot craps. I’ve had this set one full year. Prior to that, I had another set of two. One died completely after a year, and the plastic shell on the other got so dirty that I threw it away. For some reason, the shell seems to absorb the road grime and brake dust that end up coating everything on a daily commuter. In hindsight, I should have kept the guts of the one I tossed in case another one dies.
They each take two CR2016 batteries that run about $4.50 a pair. I run the lights in blinking mode all the time to save on batteries and think I go through two sets each winter.
I have a red and a green light and put both of them on my front wheel.
These things definately get a lot of attention when it’s dark. It’s kind of funny to watch drivers just follow me down the road with their heads as I go by and I get periodic yells from kids who like them.
