Starting to taper for CRMBT

Well, after a longish day yesterday:  Capture

I think I can safely say I’m in taper mode for Colorado.  I got out at lunch for my 10 mile loop with a few good hills, then focused on riding extra hills on the way home.  Now it’s time to start slowing down and trimming the mileage to ensure I’ve got a lot of pep in my legs for the mountains.

I forced myself to slow down this morning and didn’t challenge myself too much on the hills, and that will be the plan through the weekend.  Then, next week I’ll probably trim my mileage back to normal commutes without extra loops or hills.

Wish me luck.  After going so hard for so long, I suspect it will be tough to show restraint!  Do you have that problem?

God bless….
